Bleached my roots and colored my hair hot pink!  My hair is so freakin’ soft… The products I used are amazing.  I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone! 

All of the products I used can be found at Sally Beauty Supply, except for the hair dye.  The hair dye was purchased online.

For bleaching, I used:
- Ion Color Brilliance Bleach Powder
- Ion Color Brilliance 30 Developer

I used 30 because I have VERY dark hair — almost black. If you have light brown, diry blonde, I would recommend 20 developer — blondes, use 10.  Those with black hair, they make 40, but you could probably use 30 too! The lift on my roots was amazing — platinum blonde for 45 minutes!  There is a small tingly-burn that is associated with bleaching, but overall, it’s not bad at all compared to other bleaches I’ve had.  Very subtle and very tolerable.

For coloring my hair, I used a combination of 2 dyes:
- Special Effects “Cupcake Pink”
- Special Effects “Atomic Pink”

I probably could have used less than what I did of the dye, but I used 1/2 of each bottle and mixed together.  I left on my hair for 2 hours (you probably don’t need to leave it on that long, but I wanted to be sure it saturated the follicles and my roots good).

Everything was applied with application brushes. :D  Tricia helped me get the back of my hair, so if you have someone to help you, it’s probably not a bad idea. XD

Overall, my bleaching and coloring experience was a wonderful one!  I’m so glad I got the products I did (after LOTS of research) and would recommend these to anyone!
